Full Job Description

Solution Architecture & Design (DataPower Focus): Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IBM DataPower, driving the end-to-end technical design and architecture of integration solutions. Design and implement DataPower configurations that support high-volume, low-latency transaction processing typical of Telco BSS/OSS systems (e.g., Billing, CRM, Inventory, Order Management). Define and enforce enterprise-level standards and best practices for DataPower development, deployment, security, and governance. Lead the creation of Architectural Blueprints, Solution Design Documents (SDD), and Technical Specifications. Security and API Governance: Architect and enforce advanced security patterns (e.g., Two-Way SSL, WS-Security, JWT/OAuth 2.0) for external and internal-facing APIs/Services. Design and implement DataPower policies for threat protection, content validation, and secure transport layer configuration. Integrate DataPower seamlessly with API Management platforms (e.g., IBM API Connect) and enterprise identity systems (LDAP, SAML). Performance and Stability: Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of the DataPower environment for maximum throughput and reliability. Design High Availability (HA), Load Balancing, and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for DataPower clusters across multiple data centers. Drive proactive monitoring strategy using tools like Splunk, ELK, or custom logging to ensure "Five Nines" (99.999%) uptime. Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical leadership, oversight, and code reviews for a team of DataPower developers. Lead Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) for new DataPower features, releases, and related security standards. Act as the primary technical liaison between application teams, security, and infrastructure/operations teams. Telecom Domain Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of Telco integration patterns and standards (e.g., TMF Open APIs, OSS/BSS integration) to DataPower design. Design solutions for key telecom flows such as Customer Provisioning, Service Activation, Order Orchestration, and Billing mediation.
